"Words Of Wisdom"

Criticizing another's garden doesn't keep the weeds out of your own.

"A Friend Is Like a Flower "

A friend is like a flower, a rose to be exact,
Or maybe like a brand new gate that never comes unlatched.
A friend is like an owl, both beautiful and wise.
Or perhaps a friend is like a ghost, whose spirit never dies.
A friend is like those blades of grass you can never mow,
standing straight, tall, and proud in a perfect little row.
A friend is like a heart that goes strong until the end.
Where would we be in this world if we didn't have a friend.

I'd like to be the kind of Friend
That you have been to me:
I'd like to be the special help that
You've been glad to be.

I know I am blessed for only God can
make a Friend like you:
You know just how to cheer me up
whenever I am feeling blue.

Could I but have one wish fulfilled,
This one only would it be~
I'd like to be the kind of friend
You've always been to me.

A GIFT OF LOVE ... to a friend!

I've nothing else to offer, so, to you, it's love I'll send;
It's nothing that I borrowed, and it's nothing that I'd lend.
It has no dollar value and it cant be overused;
It isn't fragile, so it can't break but often it's abused.
I've given it to others, but each time it's unique;
It's meaning is always different, depending on what you seek.
It's something you can store away to feel when you're in need;
But never is it on display, it's beauty can't be seen.
I'm giving it, no "strings attached", no costly warranty;
This love that I am sending has a lifetime gaurantee

Forget about the days
when it's been cloudy,
but not the hours in the sun.
Forget about the times
you've been defeated,
but not the victories you have won.
Forget about the mistakes
that you can't change them anyhow,
but don't forget the lessons.
Forget about the misfortunes
you've encountered,
but don't forget the times
your luck has turned.
Forget about the days
when you've been lonely,
but don't forget the friendly
smiles that you have seen......
Forget about the plans
that didn't work out quite right,
but don't forget to "Always have a dream"!

Life isn't about keeping score.
It's not about how many friends you have Or how accepted you are.
Not about if you have plans this weekend or if you're alone.
It isn't about who you're dating, who you used to date,
how many people you've dated, or if you haven't been with anyone at all.
It isn't about who you have kissed. It isn't about who your family is or how much money they have Or what kind of car you drive.
Or where you are sent to school. It's not about how beautiful or ugly you are.
Or what clothes you wear, what shoes you have on,
or what kind of music you listen to.
It's not about if your hair is blonde, red, black, or brown Or if your skin is too light or too dark.
Not about what grades you get, how smart you are, how smart everybody else thinks you are, or how smart standardized tests
say you are.
It's not about what clubs you're in or how good you are at "your" sport.
It's not about representing your whole being on a piece of paper and seeing who will "accept the written you."

But, life is about who you love and who you hurt. It's about who you make happy or unhappy purposefully.
It's about keeping or betraying trust. It's about friendship, used as a sanctity or a weapon.
It's about what you say and mean, maybe hurtful, maybe heartening.
About starting rumors and contributing to petty gossip. It's about what judgments you pass and why.
And who your judgments are spread to. It's about who you've ignored with full control and intention.
It's about jealousy, fear, ignorance, and revenge.
It's about carrying inner hate and love, letting it grow, and spreading it.
But most of all, it's about using your life to touch or poison other people's
hearts in such a way that could have never occurred alone.

Only you choose the way those hearts are affected, and those choices are what life's all about.

A Letter From A Special Friend.

The Letter

Dear friend,

How are you? I just had to send a note to tell you how much I care about you.

I saw you yesterday as you were talking with your friends. I waited all day hoping you would want to talk with me too. I gave you a sunset to close your day and a cool breeze to rest you-and I waited. You never came. It hurt me-but I still love you because I am your friend.

I saw you sleeping last night and longed to touch your brow so I spilled moonlight upon your face. Again I waited, wanting to rush down so we could talk. I have so many gifts for you ! You awoke and rushed off to work. My tears were in the rain.

If you would only listen to me! I love you! I try to tell you in blue skies and in the quiet green grass. I whisper it in leaves on the trees and breathe it in colors of flowers, shout it to you in mountain streams, give the birds love songs to sing. I clothe you with warm sunsine and perfume the air with nature scents. My love for you is deeper than the ocean, and bigger then the biggest need in your heart!

Ask me! Talk with me! Please don't forget me. I have so much to share with you!

It is YOUR decision. I have chosen you and I will wait-

I love you. Your friend, Jesus
